I've been here for dining with a group and a relaxing dinner with my fiance and have never been dissapointed. The food, service and the intimate setting leaves you wanting to come back for more.
Seriously the best food I've had since I moved to Indiana from the south ten years ago. These folks do it right. They call the menu Cajun and creole bit don't let it turn you off if you think you won't like it. There's plenty of good ol southern comfort food too. Thos is my favorite place to being business associates and out of town guests because the atmosphere is so intimate and quiet. It really encourages conversation, unlike most restaurants. And even the most "Yankee" of my guests always walks away imressed by the food. Value is exceptional. The quality of the food and service is as good as any four star reaturant but most entrees are less than $20.
I'll be honest...I don't like spicy food at all, so I was skeptical about trying it out because of the "cajun" description that the Bourbon Street Hideaway had received, but I was not disappointed! The menu is more limited than some but provides a great variety of food so there is something for everyone! The featured appetizer was amazing, as well as the shrimp bisque. The tenderloin medallions almost melted in my mouth and the dessert was fantastic as well. The atmosphere is really cool and makes you feel like you're in some hidden gem of an eatery in New Orleans. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!!!
