I travel around the country and lately have to come to Ft. Wayne quite a few times. Thai food is always my favorite cuisine. I stayed at the hotel just right behind this little neat Thai restaurant so I gave them a try. Wow...their food is so outstanding I couldn't beleive the restaurant in small town like this can provide such a great taste. I've been to Ft. Wayne four times for the last six weeks and every time I had to stop by to enjoy the great Thai food in town. Tom Kha soup, crabmeat fried rice, basil softshell crab and roasted duck curry are my favorites.
WTF! I got takeout (2 pad thais- one veg, one regular) and they both seriously sucked. The noodles were flavorless and the vegetables were gross. :o(Pad thai is WAY too sweet and salty
I wouldn't say this is the best Thai food place !!

Incredibly disappointing. I wanted to give this place a chance, but it was disappointing on so many levels. I don't often give terrible reviews of places, but this place begged me for it.
First off, the day we went, the interior was dirty. I'm not usually one to judge based on a dirty interior, but things were dusty and dirty and our silverware arrived at our table with leftover food still stuck to them. Ok, that's no problem. We requested new silverware, and I tried to ignore the thin sheen of dust and dead bugs in the corner of the window display.
When the food came, I was ready to forgive all of this restaurant's unclean sins with a simple mouthful of good thai food, only I was to be disappointed yet again. The curry sauce was tasteless and watery, the pad thai noodles were overcooked with a weak peanut sauce, the shrimp were mealy and the chicken had an odd rubbery texture. All in all, a bad experience.
All servers are not Thai people at all..look like a chinese fat women.

My daughter and I love Thai cuisine and were thrilled with our experience at Switta Thai over the past weekend.
The atmosphere is laid back, comfortable and not over-done. But, at the same time, you are definitely not sitting in an "American" restaurant. There were lots of touches that made the dining room a wonderful place to enjoy our meal.
Service was prompt, friendly and accessible. Our waiter (who I believe may have been the owner) catered to our every need without making us feel "hovered over". He was happy to answer questions and make suggestions.
The food was exceptional. The Pad Thai that I ordered was not at all spicey (a bit of a let down), but the chili paste and other spiced condiments provided on the table livened my meal right up. My daughter ordered #20 (I don't recall the name) and not only was the food great, it was presented artistically and invitingly.
As much as we enjoyed our meal, nothing even came close to the marvelous experience we had with dessert. We ordered the Thai Custard with Sticky Rice. Our dessert was presented with two spoons, so that we could both enjoy it, but the plate was so wonderfully presented and beatiful that it took us five minutes to ever take our first bite. Once we did dig in, we didn't come up for air until every last grain of sticky rice was gone - it was unbelievable!
I recommend this restaurant (and entire experience) to anyone that would like to step out of their dining comfort zone and try something new - you won't be taking a risk! If you are a fan of Thai cuisine, I recommend asking for a medium spice dish or higher, as the "heat level" does seem to be toned down a bit for the average American diner - but give it a try nonetheless.
